THUNK - for piano

“Thunk” is characterised by a steady pulse with unpredictable clusters in the left hand, lower register. Simultaneously, the right-hand chisels at high-pitched melodic fragments. As the music jolts through the syncopated rhythms it often resolves to a contrasting refrain motif that induces a scherzo character to the piece.
