Harmonic Breeze

Composed in 2024, "Harmonic Breeze" is a duet for clarinet and euphonium with band accompaniment. Divided into two main themes, the piece brings out the most beautiful registers of the instruments, which, although from different instrumental families, complement each other harmoniously. This leading composition showcases the technical capacity of the solo musicians and requires precise control from the band to achieve the desired tonal color. "Harmonic Breeze" was written in dedication to the two soloists featured on the album, Josefa Muscat on clarinet and Mark Vella on euphonium.

Harmonic Breeze has been recorded by the Filarmonica di Firenze Giacchino Rossini under the direction of Prof. Giampaolo Lazzeri, in the composer's album "Pieces of Malta" in 2025.
